Zeldin for Congress Releases Closing TV ad of 2020: “Sophisticated”

PATCHOGUE, NY – The Zeldin for Congress campaign today released its closing TV ad of the 2020 election cycle, “Sophisticated”, featuring Congressman Lee Zeldin’s (R, NY-1) wife, Diana, and 14-year-old identical twin daughters, Arianna and Mikayla.

In the ad, Arianna and Mikayla discuss Lee Zeldin’s fight for equal pay for women and supporting coverage of pre-existing conditions.

Congressman Zeldin launches this final ad well positioned to be re-elected in 2020. Having been ranked the 12th most bipartisan Congressman in America by Georgetown University and the Lugar Center, Congressman Zeldin has secured much needed victories for Long Island families this year, including vast quantities of coronavirus resources, the $2 billion Electron Ion Collider headed now to Brookhaven National Laboratory, and many critical Army Corps of Engineers projects.

The Congressman’s opponent, Radical Professor Nancy Goroff, has been exposed to Long Island voters as too extreme and out-of-touch due to her far-left agenda. Not only does Goroff support a single payer, government takeover of our healthcare system, just last night at the Express News Debate, Goroff made the outrageous claim that “there is no defund police agenda.”

Goroff’s anti-law enforcement agenda includes calling our police ‘dangerous‘, refusing to condemn the violence against police at her Suffolk PBA screening, supporting a bill that would enact cashless bail nationally and institute a mass early prison release, criticizing the riot gear given to police to respond to riots, calling for non-police to be sent to domestic violence crime scenes instead of sending police and refusing to back federal funding to combat MS-13. This is all documented at RadicalNancy.Com.

Congressman Zeldin secured more than a million pieces of PPE in one month alone at the height of the pandemic, thousands of ventilators for New York, testing, and funding for Long Island families, businesses, hospitals, and county government.

In the ad, Amy Thomas also highlights Congressman Zeldin’s service as a Paratrooper with the Army’s elite 82nd Airborne Division. Congressman Zeldin still serves today as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve.

4 Dozen Small Business Owners Endorse Lee Zeldin for Congress

PATCHOGUE, NY – The Zeldin for Congress campaign today announced the creation of its small business coalition, “Small Business Owners for Zeldin,” highlighting the broad support that Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1) has in the local small business community.

Congressman Zeldin has consistently delivered for Long Island’s small businesses, including his time in the New York State Senate where he successfully led the fight to repeal the MTA Payroll Tax for 80% of employers. As a member of the Congressional Coronavirus Task Force, Congressman Zeldin helped establish the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and fund the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program for Long Island’s small businesses impacted by the coronavirus outbreak. Congressman Zeldin also held multiple Tele-Town Halls during the pandemic with the Long Island Branch Manager of the Small Business Administration (SBA) and over 2,500 small businesses to discuss federal assistance available to local small businesses.

“Congressman Zeldin remains an amazing advocate for Long Island during this pandemic,” said Rocco Carriero of Rocco Carriero Wealth Partners. “He supported the Paycheck Protection Program which helped all businesses in the district and worked hard to get PPE to protect his constituents.”

“Without the support of Lee Zeldin our business would’ve fallen like many others,” said John Rose of Slices Pizza in Selden. “We owe everything to Congressman Zeldin in the local business community.”

“Congressman Zeldin is a true friend to Long Island Fisherman, boaters, and everyone involved in the marine industry,” said Captain Joe Tangel of King Cod Fishing. “From taking on major dredging and beach replenishment projects, to fighting for fair and equitable fishing regulations, Lee has always been there for us.”

“The business community has never had such one on one support from a congressman on a local level like Lee Zeldin has provided,” said Gene Cella of Cella Bagels in Selden. “Thank you Congressman Zeldin.”

“There are so many local businesses that wouldn’t have made it through the last six months without everything Lee Zeldin did for us,” said Donato Panico of Panico’s Community Market. “He’s got our backs, and we’re lucky to have him in Washington fighting for us.”

“Congressman Zeldin has been a tireless advocate for our small business community here on Long Island and especially on the East End,” said John Cannarelli of Nassau Suffolk Landscape & Architectural Design. “His work to repair Dune Road in Westhampton Beach has been crucial for my business and customers. Thank you, Lee.”

Zeldin for Congress Releases Third TV Ad of 2020 Cycle: “Radical Professor”

PATCHOGUE, NY – The Zeldin for Congress campaign today released its third TV ad of the 2020 election cycle, “Radical Professor”.

Alternate text

Instead of prioritizing safety and security, and law and order, in the midst of all the looting, rioting and violence targeting police and others on US city streets in recent months, Radical Professor Nancy Goroff has fully embraced an extreme anti-law enforcement agenda:

1) Calling the police “damaging” and “dangerous”
2) Saying that non-police should be sent to respond to potentially violent crime scenes instead of police
3) Pushing legislation calling for a mass prison release, including violent criminals
4) Complaining about riot gear being given to police to respond to riots
5) Refusing to condemn the violence against police and others on US city streets

Radical Professor Nancy Goroff’s agenda is contrasted with Congressman Lee Zeldin’s (R, NY-1) “unapologetic” support of our law enforcement, which is why 15 local law enforcement unions have strongly endorsed Congressman Zeldin for re-election in 2020.
