PATCHOGUE, NY – The Building and Construction Trades Council of Nassau and Suffolk Counties today endorsed Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1) for re-election in 2020.
“Whether it is fighting for the American people on the floor in Congress or proudly wearing the uniform as Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, Lee’s number one priority is protecting our nation. His work ethic, as well as leadership skills are traits that should be emulated,” said Matt Aracich, President of the Nassau-Suffolk Building Trades, adding that “Lee delivered on bringing BILLIONS of dollars to the district for Brookhaven National Labs.”
The Building and Construction Trades Council of Nassau and Suffolk Counties represents more than 65,000 skilled tradesmen and tradeswomen as well as 37 independent affiliates.
“I am incredibly humbled and honored to have the support of the hardworking men and women of the Nassau Suffolk Building Trades,” said Congressman Zeldin. “Working together, we were able to bring home the $2 billion Electron Ion Collider Project to Brookhaven National Lab, ensuring we have good paying jobs for years to come here on Long Island.”
“We value Lee’s focus on the continuous improvement of issues that impact the environment, employment, infrastructure and quality of life,” said Aracich.
